Rain Erosion Tester

The rain erosion tester is a high-strength raindrop impact testing equipment that meets the IPX6K and IPX9K waterproofing grade requirements. It features a high-pressure spray system, spraying raindrops. Combined with sample rotation, it realistically simulates the corrosion resistance of materials under intense rainwater impact.

This equipment supports multi-angle and multi-flow control of the spray, meeting the 75 L/min high-flow water spraying test standard of the IPX6K. It also possesses the 80-100 bar high-pressure spraying capability required by the IPX9K, ensuring comprehensive and rigorous waterproof and corrosion resistance testing for key components such as aerospace, wind turbine blades, and automotive lamp covers.

1. Double-level protection certification

Details of Rain Erosion Tester

IPX6K nozzle

  • Inner diameter: 6.3 millimeters. Water flow rate remains stable at 75 liters per minute ± 5%.

  • Spray distance stays between 2.5 and 3 meters, ensuring powerful and large-flow water spraying, truly simulating the impact of large-flow rainwater.

IPX9K nozzle

  • 4 high-pressure nozzles, with adjustable spray angles of 0°, 30°, 60° and 90°. Each angle has a spray duration of 30 seconds, and the spray distance is 10 to 15 centimeters. 

  • The water temperature can be adjusted from the ambient temperature to a maximum of 88°C.

Turntable

  • The turntable maintains a stable speed. It simulates the impact of raindrops from multiple angles on the test piece under a moving state. 

  • The platform height is adjustable. It is equipped with a waterproof power supply and has a hollow design that can fix the test piece.

Water circulation system

An internal large-capacity water storage tank is equipped with an automatic water supply and water quality purification system to ensure continuous clean water supply and stable temperature for the test, supporting long-term continuous operation.

Controller

  • Programmable color LCD touch screen controller, 

  • supporting Ethernet connection and PC remote online operation, facilitating flexible adjustment of multiple parameters and data monitoring.
