For laboratories that need to evaluate optoelectronic devices while they undergo temperature and humidity cycling, a simple feedthrough is not enough.
This customized LIB benchtop environmental chamber integrates two types of side ports to enable true in-situ optical measurement: 2 Ø80mm general-purpose test ports for cabling and utilities, and 4 Ø50 mm optical ports designed for clean, low-loss light transmission.

Unlike standard cable/test ports, optical ports maintain both environmental stability and optical clarity. Each Ø50 mm opening accommodates optoelectronic fixtures—such as photodiodes, light sources, fiber couplers, or imaging lenses—then connects to the customer’s external optical instruments.

With the chamber door closed, light passes through to the sample so engineers can perform live optical measurements—for example, transmission, reflectance, responsivity, or image quality—while the programmed climate profile runs. This eliminates the disturbances and uncertainty caused by opening the door and measuring afterward.
2 80 mm test ports carry power lines, signal harnesses, pneumatic hoses, or coolant tubing—freeing the optical ports for light only.
4 Ø50 mm optical ports allow multiple sightlines (illumination, detection, reference, and alignment) for bidirectional or multi-sensor setups.
Port fixtures can be sealed with O-rings and fitted with optics matched to wavelength needs—quartz for UV–VIS, sapphire for VIS–IR. Optional anti-condensation heaters or baffles keep the view clear in humid or low-temperature conditions.

Camera modules & image sensors: Illuminate a target through one port and measure MTF/SFR or detect defects through another during damp-heat or thermal cycling.
LiDAR/ToF modules: Inject a reference beam and track receiver sensitivity changes with temperature.
LEDs, VCSELs, photodiodes: Monitor optical power, wavelength shift, or responsivity in real time.
Optical materials & filters: Quantify transmission or reflectance changes without removing the sample from the controlled environment.
Mount the device under test (DUT) and align optical fixtures through the 4 Ø50 mm ports.
Route power and data through the two 80 mm test ports.
Program the TH chamber profile (e.g., –40 °C to +85 °C with humidity ramps) via the touch controller or Ethernet.
Acquire synchronized optical data from your instruments while the chamber maintains the programmed climate.
As a leading manufacturer of benchtop environmental test chambers, LIB has over 16 years of rich experience in the design and production of test chambers.Customization brings the optics into the experiment without compromising measurement quality. From window materials and anti-fog options to special flanges and port layouts, LIB configures each TH platform to your needs.
