IP 68 Tester

The IP68 tester is used to test product shell’s tightness about waterproof and dustproof performance complying to IEC 60529 standard. As the first characteristic number “6” stands for complete protection from dust, and “8” as the second characteristic number stands for continuous immersion in water under certain conditions to maintain the normal operation of the equipment.

The IP68 tester combines IP6X dust ingress testing and IPX8 water immersion testing, allowing products to be evaluated under both extreme dust and water exposure conditions using controlled and repeatable parameters.
For dustproof testing, the system circulates standardized talc powder (≈50 μm) within a sealed test space, controlled airflow, and vibration to ensure uniform dust distribution and full enclosure exposure.
For waterproof testing, the immersion system applies controlled hydrostatic pressure equivalent to 1–50 m water depth (up to 50 bar), with a reinforced pressure vessel and adjustable sample holder supporting loads up to 50 kg, enabling long-duration submersion tests in accordance with IPX8 requirements.

1. The inner workroom is made of 304 stainless steel, with good corrosion resistance and strength, and can withstand the erosion of talc powder and other dust for a long time to ensure the service life of LIB Industry ip68 tester.

2. The door is equipped with observation window, which is safe and reliable, convenient to observe the status of the sample in the ip68 tester when the dust blows.

3. The use of double-wire silicone rubber sealing strip, and equipped with electromagnetic lock, can effectively prevent dust leakage and misoperation, ensure the sealing environment inside the ip68 test equipment, meet the dustproof requirements of IP6X class.

4. The touch controller can control the dust blower, dust vibration and the total test time, and has the functions of setting the dust blowing time (stop, blow) continuously or periodically, automatically alternating the vibration time, and presetting the test time.

①Vacuum pump

Through pumping, a certain vacuum degree is formed inside the test chamber or inside the sample, which simulates the changes in air pressure that the product may face in actual use, and the possibility of sand and dust entering in the low pressure environment, and promotes the flow and circulation of sand and dust.

②Vacuum filter

Filter the gas entering the vacuum pump, prevent the dust particles in the test chamber from entering the vacuum pump, and reduce the dust residue in the internal circulation system of the test chamber.

③Circulating fan

Generate air flow, promote the dust circulation, ensure that the dust can fully contact all parts of the sample, so that the dust distribution in the test box is more uniform, simulate the exposure of the product in the actual dust environment.

④Vibrating motor

By shaking the inside of the test chamber, the sand attached to the surface of the sample or the wall of the test chamber can be shed, so as to avoid the accumulation of sand in some parts and affect the accuracy of the test results.Vertical circulation air blows dust to the workroom, forming a dust circulation system.

1. High quality sealing locks, to ensure the sealing performance of the ip68 tester during the process of pressurization and flooding, to prevent water leakage.

2. The internal pressure can be accurately controlled to simulate the water pressure environment under different water depths of 1-50m with pressure up to 50bar. Built-in sample holder whose maximum load 50 kg, and the height is adjustable.

12 reinforced safety locks prevents the lid from opening under pressurized conditions, ensuring safe operation throughout the entire test cycle and eliminating the risk of accidental opening.

③Water Level Gauge
The integrated water level gauge provides real-time visual monitoring of the internal water level, allowing precise control of immersion depth in accordance with IPX8 test requirements.

④Independent Control Cabinet

The separate control cabinet houses pressure control, timing, and safety monitoring systems, enabling stable operation, intuitive control, and easy maintenance while keeping electrical components isolated from water exposure.

⑤Adjustable Support Feet
