Supporting 25°C / 70% RH Environmental Simulation for Protective Coating Research
On August 20, 2026, the LIB Industry engineering team completed the installation and commissioning of two TH-225 temperature and humidity test chambers at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). The project also included one O-100 laboratory oven.
The equipment will be used by a cultural heritage conservation research team to evaluate protective coating materials under controlled environmental conditions.
As an environmental test equipment manufacturer, LIB Industry provides temperature and humidity test chambers, UV aging chambers, laboratory ovens, and other environmental simulation equipment for universities and research institutions.

The USTC project also came through LIB Industry's previous cooperation with a university research team.
LIB Industry had previously supplied temperature and humidity test chambers and UV aging test equipment to a research team at Xi’an Jiaotong University. Based on the team's experience with the equipment and technical service, LIB Industry was later recommended to the USTC research team, leading to this new project.
For university research, equipment selection often depends not only on specifications but also on long-term operating stability, technical support, and experience in similar research applications.
This university-to-university referral reflects the trust built through LIB Industry's previous research projects.
The USTC research team focuses on cultural heritage conservation materials and protective coatings.
The researchers apply liquid protective coatings to soil blocks, rocks, or other substrates with properties similar to cultural heritage materials. The coated samples are then placed in a controlled environmental chamber to evaluate changes in coating performance during environmental exposure.
One of the commonly used test conditions is:
25°C / 70% RH
Maintaining a stable temperature and relative humidity helps reduce environmental fluctuations during testing and makes it easier to compare different coating materials under the same conditions.
For this type of research, the temperature and humidity test chamber needs to provide accurate environmental control, good chamber uniformity, and stable long-term operation.
The core equipment supplied for the project is the TH-225 temperature and humidity test chamber.
With a 225L working volume, the TH-225 is suitable for laboratory research involving materials, coatings, components, and other test specimens. Its programmable control system allows researchers to set specific temperature and humidity conditions for long-term or repeatable testing.

For the USTC project, the TH-225 provides the controlled environment required for 25°C / 70% RH exposure testing, while also allowing researchers to configure other conditions for different experimental programs.
Along with the two TH-225 chambers, the research team purchased an O-100 laboratory oven.
In coating research, soil, rock, and other test specimens may require drying, heating, or conditioning before or after coating application. The O-100 provides a dedicated heated environment for these processes.

The O-100 oven handles drying and controlled heating, while the TH-225 chamber provides temperature and humidity environmental simulation. Together, the two types of equipment can support different stages of the research process.
Sample preparation → Coating application → Drying or heating → Temperature and humidity exposure → Performance evaluation
