On November 26, 2019, a customer reached out to LIB Industry requesting immersion testing for photovoltaic panels with a waterproof rating of IPX7. After carefully clarifying the requirements, our engineering team proposed a tailored solution to ensure precise and efficient testing while accommodating the specific size and shape of the panels.

Breaking the Limits: Custom IPX7/X8 Immersion Chamber Solution

Standard IPX7/X8 immersion test chambers are typically cylindrical barrels designed for small or medium-sized components. While these chambers comply with IEC 60529 waterproof standards and are suitable for a wide range of electronics and materials, their cylindrical design posed a challenge for large photovoltaic panels. The customer required a solution that could handle multiple panels simultaneously, while ensuring full immersion and accurate test results.
